Albert Boulanger is a Senior Staff Associate with the Center for Computational Learning Systems(CCLS) at Columbia University. For the past 12 years at Columbia, he has been involved in forward looking research and development in Energy - both Oil and Gas (while at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University) and Electricity, now at CCLS. For two years beginning in 2000, Albert was on leave of absence from Columbia and the CTO of vPatch, a start up company commercializing a computational approach to efficiently produce oil from reserviors based on time lapse seismic. Prior to coming to Lamont, he spent twelve years doing contract R&D at Bolt Beranek and Newman in Cambridge, Mass. He has extensive complex system integration experience. His forte is in integrating numerical, intelligent reasoning, human interface, and visualization components into seamless human-oriented systems.
